Art and Craft 
This has been introduced to promote individual creativity and expression, and encourage the student to give artistic interpretations to visual representation of ideas.
The Director-General of UNESCO, in the year 2000, in an appeal for promotion of art, education and creativity at school stated in his address that, ‘A more balanced kind of education is now needed with scientific, technical and sports disciplines; the human science and art education being placed on an equal footing at the different stages of schooling which will be beneficial to their intellect and emotional balance…’
