Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE) sensitizes students through a One Act Play

ONE ACT PLAY – BRINGING AWARENESS

POCSO Act is an initiative by the Government of India to safeguard the interest and well-being of children. Keeping this objective in mind Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE) organized a ‘ONE ACT PLAY’ titled ‘ABHAYA’ written and directed by the world-renowned puppeteer and children’s theatre director Mrs. Meena Naik on 6th October 2022. Mrs. Chinmayee Swami Kane, the lead actress, sensitized the students and staff about the offenses suffered due to sexual assault and harassment and the quantum of punishment for such criminal acts. The students of grades 8 and 9 had an interactive session with Mrs. Meena Naik after the play. The Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Arnavaz Bhagat thanked Mrs. Naik and her team and the school’s management for giving this platform for students to understand such a sensitive subject and bring awareness too.
