Embracing Culture: Hindi Diwas and Ganesh Chaturthi Mass Assembly at PTV ICSE
On September 14, 2023, Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE), Primary Section, celebrated Hindi Diwas and Ganesh Chaturthi, showcasing India’s culture and linguistic diversity. Students from Grades 3, 4, and 5 participated enthusiastically.
Our teacher, Mrs. Sangita Vishwakarma explained the importance of Hindi Diwas, emphasizing its role in preserving our national identity. Students sang patriotic songs in Hindi, uniting everyone in pride and shared witty Hindi shayaris, spreading laughter.
Our teacher, Mrs. Priyanka Jagwani highlighted the significance of eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Students also presented an English skit promoting eco-friendly celebrations. The audience was wowed with a mesmerizing fusion of Kathak and Bharatnatyam dance forms. The energetic dance performance also depicted Lord Ganesha and his followers, captivating everyone’s hearts.
Our esteemed Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Arnavaz Bhagat addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of celebrating different languages and the cultural diversity that Ganesh Chaturthi represents. Her words resonated with all, promoting unity in diversity.
We also took the opportunity to felicitate Aheli Anavkar (Grade III) who secured topper rank (International Overall Olympiad Rank 1) in Level 2 exams of both English and Science Olympiad exams; and Myraa Bhogle (Grade III) who won the 3rd prize in Moulding Madness, a competition part of Cascade 28 inter-school competition.
