Choral Recitation Competition at PTV (ICSE) for Grade 4 & 5
With the aim of teaching the students to put in their best, 4th and 5th graders of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE) were given an opportunity to show how they can work together as a group to recite a poem/story in an innovative and an entertaining way. This was done through a Choral Recitation Competition held on 18th July, 2023. Choral Recitation is a great way for students to work as a team for speech improvement in pitch, tone and volume and to showcase a clear interpretation of the selected piece.
The students participated in the choral recitation competition with great enthusiasm.
Each team (four divisions of Grade 4 and three divisions of Grade 5) comprised 15 students and were judged on their Voice Articulation, Dramatic Appropriateness, Rhythm, Creativity and Overall Performance.
The Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Arnavaz Bhagat praised the efforts of the students and gave pointers on how to better their performances. The Vice-Principal and Judge for the competition, Mrs. Geena Mathew, enjoyed the competition and encouraged students to continue to persevere.
The winners of the competition are as follows:
1st position – Grade 4D (Poem : ‘Be glad your nose is on your face’)
2nd position- Grade 4C (Poem : ‘On New Year’s Day’)
