INTERACTIVE LEARNING THROUGH FIELD TRIPS

With the main objective to reinforce experiential and contextual learning, Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE) arranged field trips for students across grades  6 to 8. Students of grades  6 and 7 visited the Nehru Science Center while grade 8 visited  Keshav Shrushti. This learning beyond the four walls of the classroom and bringing students to the real world was witnessed as the students were seen engaged in doing different hands-on activities at their respective destinations.

Making paper mache, understanding the concept of Jeevamrut, working of biogas plant, rainwater harvesting, working of solar panels and vermicomposting at Keshav Shrushti along with an understanding of kinetic energy activities, live demos based on magic of science, aerospace movies and various visits to textile magic mirror, planetary system, ancient medical facility centers at the Nehru Science Center was a step toward bringing about holistic development.
