The students of PTV (ICSE) Primary Section, participated in an innovative Photography Activity
“If you can see it, you can shoot it.”
The students of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE), Primary Section, participated in an innovative Photography Activity at school on February 9th, 2023. Each grade was given a different topic and students participated in huge numbers with enthusiasm.
Grade 1- Colour Scavenger Hunt: Students of Grade 1 brought pictures of : One living thing and One Non-living thing. They spoke confidently about when, where and why they chose the particular subject for their photography activity. At the end of the activity they were able to state the differences between living and non-living things.
Grade 2- Flower Finding: Students of Grade 2 photographed three flowers each and shared with their classmates the names of these flowers in different languages like Hindi, English, Marathi, Gujarati, German, Spanish, Japanese, etc. A few students also highlighted the reason for the nomenclature of flowers.
Grade 3- Three Times A day: Students of Grade 3 photographed objects at different times during the day. They understood the significance of light in photography. They also observed and discussed shadow formation with their classmates.
Grade 4- Photo Story: Grade 4 students composed their own poems, stories and paragraphs summarising the subject of their photography activity. This activity showcased their imagination and turned out to be a fun one!
Grade 5- Postcards: Students of Grade 5 selected pictures from their favourite memories- be it a vacation, a favourite corner of their home, an activity that they enjoyed doing, etc. Students shared these pictures in the form of a postcard with their parents, teachers, friends and other family members.
