The Secondary School of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE) conducted an Inter Class English Elocution Competition for Classes VI to VIII, on 7th July, 2023. This was done to promote English speaking skills, in terms of pronunciation, delivery, and voice modulation, and to develop English in its spoken form. Several children gave in their names as participants, which resulted in a keenly contested audition round. The poems selected were varied and very enjoyable.

 
The event began with an introduction to the judges. All the participants performed exceptionally well, winning accolades for their class. The competition gave a lot of encouragement and confidence to the performers and to all the students present there.

On completion of the last speaker, the judges (Mrs. Geena Mathew – Our Vice Principal and Ms. Rozina Virani – The HOD of Primary School English Department) were invited on stage to speak a few words of advice for improvement and of encouragement.

Our Principal, Dr. Mrs. Arnavaz Bhagat had profound praise for the standard of competition and selection of pieces and admitted that there was little difference between the winners and the others.

The young and gifted orators had won the hearts of everyone by their oratory skills and preparation. The confidence, expression and talent of the young ones made the event truly memorable.
