Green Guardians in Action: Eco Club’s Plantation Drive at PTV (ICSE)
The students of the Eco Club at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya, ICSE, enthusiastically organized a plantation drive, showcasing their commitment to environmental sustainability.
Students took active responsibility in preparation by cleaning pots, arranging soil, arranging compost manure, and dry leaves, and assembling essential tools. They also ensured the availability of healthy saplings and ‘Jeevamrut,’ an organic growth enhancer, highlighting their awareness of eco-friendly practices.
A remarkable feature of the drive was the preparation of Jeevamrut by the students . This nutrient-rich organic mixture, known for revitalizing soil health, was prepared in the school, adding a hands-on learning dimension to the activity.
The success of the plantation drive was the result of the collective efforts of the Principal, Dr. (Mrs) Arnavaz Bhagat , administrative staff, and non-teaching staff, along with the enthusiastic participation of the students. The initiative was effectively lead by Mrs. Preeti Iswalkar, whose guidance played a pivotal role.
In alignment with the annual “Sanjeevani Abhiyan” conducted by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the Eco Club students will continue their environmental efforts by participating in the campaign from April 1 to April 30, 2026. This initiative aims to engage schools, colleges, organizations, and citizens in fostering a greener and healthier environment.
Through such endeavors, the students of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya, (ICSE) demonstrate that small, collective actions can contribute significantly toward building a sustainable future.
