CPR Training Session at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE)

Parle Tilak Vidyalaya ICSE organized a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training Session on Monday , 27th July 2026,  for the students of Grades VIII, IX, and X with the objective of equipping them with essential life-saving skills and creating awareness about emergency response.

The session was conducted by Dr. Amruta Shirodkar, Consultant Paediatrician and Adolescent Health Specialist with 17 years of clinical experience, and Dr. Rajul Patel, Consultant Paediatrician and Adolescent Health Specialist with over 28 years of rich clinical practice. It was an initiative from INDIAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS, MUMBAI BRANCH. The experts explained the importance of CPR, the correct techniques to respond during medical emergencies, and the significance of timely intervention in saving lives.

The session began with a video highlighting various techniques to respond during emergencies and step by step procedure to be followed while giving CPR to the patient.A live demonstration of CPR was conducted  using mannequins, enabling students to understand the correct procedure and gain practical knowledge of the technique. The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions and helped build their confidence in handling emergency situations responsibly.

As a token of gratitude, the resource persons were felicitated for their valuable contribution. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the esteemed doctors, the School Management,the Principal , teachers, and students for making the session informative and successful. The training left the students better prepared to respond effectively during emergencies and reinforced the importance of compassion, presence of mind, and community service.
