Eloquent Expressions: Elocution Competition for Grades VI–VIII
Parle Tilak Vidyalaya( ICSE) organized an Elocution Competition for students of Grades VI to VIII on 28th July 2026. The event aimed to nurture students’ public speaking skills, boost their confidence, and provide a platform to express their ideas effectively.
The preliminary round was conducted in their respective classrooms and nine best speakers were selected for the final round. Students participated with great enthusiasm and delivered impressive speeches on a variety of engaging and thought-provoking topics.
The competition was judged by Ms. Jashma Shastri and Ms. Seema Verlekar (Teachers of the Primary Section), who evaluated the participants on the basis of content, delivery, expression, fluency, and overall presentation. The judges appreciated the participants for their commendable performances and addressed the students with encouraging words, emphasizing the importance of effective communication, confidence, and continuous practice in public speaking.
The winners of the competition were:
- First Place: Aarisha Ginde VI C
- Second Place: Abigail Misquitta VII D
- Second Place: Anoushka Panse VIII B
- Third Place: Reva Modak VIII B
The winners were felicitated and presented with certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances. All participants were appreciated for their enthusiastic involvement, making the competition a memorable and enriching experience.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the respected Judges,Principal, teachers, participants, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
