Sanjeevani Activity: Nurturing Nature Through Seed Balls and Pot Planting
As part of the Sanjeevani Activity, students of Grades 6, 7 and 8 at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya ICSE participated enthusiastically in a hands-on Seed Ball Making and Pot Planting Activity organized during the Bagless Days.
The seed ball-making activity was conducted in the classroom using natural materials and a variety of seeds. Students prepared seed balls while learning about seed germination, plant growth, biodiversity and the importance of protecting and nurturing the environment.
The students also participated in pot planting, where they planted saplings and seeds in pots.This practical experience helped students appreciate the effort involved in growing plants and the valuable role they play in maintaining a healthy environment.
The activities promoted environmental awareness, teamwork, responsibility and a sense of care for nature.It provided students with an enriching learning experience beyond the traditional classroom, allowing them to develop practical skills while connecting with nature.
The students learned that even small individual efforts, when combined, can contribute towards creating a greener, healthier and more sustainable planet.
