A Blooming Celebration: Diwali and Children’s Day at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya ICSE

“Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together they make this world a beautiful garden.”
The Primary Section of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya ICSE celebrated the Diwali festival and Children’s Day on November 8, 2023, infusing double the joy into a child’s life. The school building blossomed with the vibrant decorations of lanterns, artwork, and rangoli.

The festivities commenced with a special assembly, where the significance of the various days of Diwali was creatively explained. Students took to the stage, using props to depict scenes symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. A melodious song on Diwali filled the air, capturing the excitement and delight this festival of lights brings to our lives. A thought-provoking skit on ‘Eco-Friendly Diwali’ reminded us of our responsibility to the environment while celebrating this festival. Students then pledged to make Diwali a smoke-free and happy occasion for everyone.
The Children’s Day celebration kicked off with equal enthusiasm and joy. Mrs. Rachana Sharma shared the importance of Children’s Day and recited a lovely Hindi poem. Our music teacher, Mr. Denver, presented a delightful mashup song for our beloved students, spreading joy and harmony.
Dr. (Mrs.) Arnavaz Bhagat, the Principal, highlighted the key aspects of both the Diwali Festival and Children’s Day.
Teachers organized fun-filled games in the classrooms, and the celebration concluded with traditional Diwali snacks, leaving the students feeling excited, appreciated, and loved throughout the event.
