Budding Poets Shine at CISCE Poetry Writing Competition

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) organised a National-Level Poetry Writing Competition for students of Grades IX and X on 3rd September, 2026. The competition offered young minds a wonderful platform to showcase their creativity, imagination and literary expression.

Students of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE) participated enthusiastically in the competition. Adding an element of excitement and spontaneity, the topic for the poetry composition was revealed only on the day of the competition. The students rose to the challenge and composed original and thoughtful poems within the stipulated time.

The school proudly felicitated the three best entries during the Teachers’ Day celebration. The Principal, Dr Mrs. Arnavaz Bhagat presented certificates to the winners in recognition of their outstanding literary talent and creativity.

The winners are:

  • First Prize – Saanavi Shirke
  • Second Prize – Arya Sohini
  • Third Prize – Anushri Joshi

The First prize winning poem will be forwarded to CISCE for consideration in the National-Level Competition, giving her the opportunity to represent the school at the National stage.

The competition was a celebration of the students’ ability to think creatively, respond spontaneously and express their ideas through the beauty of poetry. Parle Tilak Vidyalaya ICSE congratulates all the winners and wishes the winning entry success at the National level!
