May we think of freedom not as the right to do what we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.”

The 78th Independence of India was celebrated on 15 August at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya ICSE with traditional fervour and gaiety. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National flag by Shri Bansidhar Dhurandhar, treasurer (PTVA) followed by the National Anthem.

A mass assembly was conducted where glimpses of the glory and freedom struggle of India were presented through a plethora of cultural performances. This rekindled the spirit of nationalism in every heart. The Vice principal addressed the gathering and stressed the need to cultivate the values upheld by the selfless freedom fighters followed by the felicitation of the students for their success in different competitions.
