Marathi Rajbhasha Diwas celebrated by students of PTV ICSE (Primary Section)
Marathi Diwas Mass Assembly- PTV ICSE (Primary Section) Marathi Rajbhasha Diwas (Marathi Language Day) is celebrated on 27th February every year. This day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of the Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman Shasharwadkar, popularly known as ‘Kusumagraj’.
The students of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (ICSE), Primary Section, celebrated this day on 16th February, 2023, with a lot of enthusiasm. Avanti Abhyankar and Arya Sohoni, students of grade 5 initiated the programme by greeting the audience. Spruha Kelkar of grade 2 gave a speech on the importance of Marathi Diwas. A melodious song ‘Hee Mayabhoomi Hi Janmabhoomi’ was sung by the students of grades 4 and 5 and the audience was truly memerised. A dance performance was also put by by the students of grades 4 and 5.
The program culminated with speeches in Marathi from the Principal and the Supervisor. They encouraged the students to learn and to read books in Marathi since it’s the most widely spoken language in Maharashtra. The program also included the prize distribution ceremony of the Geeta Chanting Competition. Shanaya Kawle of Grade 3 proposed the vote of thanks.
